Approach

I am committed to helping people find relief and greater happiness. Twenty five years of experience as a psychotherapist confirms my belief in the power of understanding and the possibility of change. The fear of change can become the excitement of discovery; avoidance and running away can transform into assertiveness; holding back can give way to reaching out; confusion can crystallize into clarity and confidence; emotional pain can transform into patience and wisdom. Together, we can work to help you find the freedom and fulfillment you seek.

I offer Individual Psychotherapy sessions to help people with:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Troubled Relationships

  • Stress

  • Worry

  • Feelings of Loneliness, Anger, Frustration, Guilt

  • Low Self-Esteem

  • Women's Issues

  • Self-Defeating Behaviors

  • Work-related Difficulties

  • Grief and Coping with Loss

In my work with people, while exploring the immediate causes and the deeper roots of problems, I use systematic approaches to help people develop emotional resilience, see new perspectives and implement new skills. I use cognitive (thought-focused), somatic (body-focused), emotion-focused, and psychodynamic approaches to promote more effective and satisfying ways of coping with life's challenges.
